  • this blackbird signature class is a sweaty, breath-to-movement power vinyasa yoga practice fueled by music. we flow quickly and mindfully through traditional yoga poses that build full body strength with an emphasis on building your core. this class ends in a deep meditation using crystal singing bowls to help calm the nervous system. this is a challenging class, but modifications are given. you will leave this class feeling invigorated and light. all levels are welcome.

  • both our pre + postnatal classes are designated to help women physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. prenatal prepares the mama for childbirth by allowing for more relaxation in the body and leans into safe, effective movement specifically designated for pregnant women’s bodies. this class also includes specific strength exercises to prepare for a healthy delivery and recovery. Prenatal aims to create a balanced and harmonized space to set a tone for a mindful childbirth. pre + postnatal recognizes the mama for where they are and blends thoughtful breath practices, pelvic floor strength, healing postures, and meditation for rest and renewal. you will leave this class feeling supported + connected. All stages of pregnancy are welcome.

  • use your breath to get out of your mind and unearth deep emotions and feelings. with a simple breath pattern, energy is able to shift and be felt, expressed, and released. listening to a curated playlist, you will be guided to breathe in the pattern, from there the magic happens. this breathwork led by susan fitzpatrick is in the lineage of erin telford and david elliott, whose label is simply β€œbreathwork”. this healing tool is potent and needs to be experienced to be understood.

  • engages in reflection as a mental exercise such as concentration on one's breath or repetition of a mantra. meditation is a practice that connects the mind and body on a physiological level. we hold space to fully integrate into the present moment and suspend time. the purpose of our meditation class is to create a heightened level of spiritual and mindful awareness. this class may help increase mental clarity and regulate the nervous system to let your physical body rest. you will leave this class feeling clear + peaceful. all levels welcome.

    mindfulness meditation
    mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with curiosity, openness and without judgment. consistent practice can help us to slow down, and to be more gentle with ourselves, allowing us space to find greater clarity about what truly matters to us. over the course of four weeks, participants will learn what mindfulness is, and different mindfulness based practices, such as a body scan, sitting meditation, and processing emotions. this series is a great resource for those who are new to mindfulness practices and for those seeking to strengthen their practice. no experience necessary! you will leave this class feeling light and connected.

  • nidra means sleep, and yoga nidra is a practice that helps us put the physical body to sleep while keeping the mind awake. rather than being conscious (or fully awake), dropping into the subconscious (dream sleep), or unconscious (deep sleep), we access the super consciousness. during this class you will experience true relaxation or bliss as the brain waves drop into the alpha state. you will leave this class feeling relaxed and revitalized. all levels welcome.

mini + me

  • this signature class is a mindful low intensity, mix of yoga, aerobics, pilates and strength training intervals. during this class you will move to the beat of the music. this can be done barefoot on your yoga mat, or wearing sneakers. you will leave this class feeling revitalized + connected. all levels are welcome.

  • This signature class you can have your mini in the room while you practice barre. classical barre is a full body, low impact,  conditioning workout with quick transitions. barre classes use full range movement, small pulsing movements, and isometric exercises that emphasize form, alignment, and core engagement. this is a challenging class, but modifications are given. socks are required. you will leave this class feeling balanced + elongated. all levels are welcome

strength

  • is a mindful high intensity, exhilarating mix of yoga, aerobics, pilates, and strength training intervals. during this class you will move to the beat of the music while . this can be done barefoot on your yoga mat, or wearing sneakers. this is a challenging class, but modifications are given. you will leave this class feeling invigorated + light. all levels are welcome.

    cardio sculpt light

  • Hot Pilates 
    Take your Mat Pilates practice to the next level by adding some heat! In additional to all the benefits of Pilates, you will gain the added benefits of infrared light therapy. 

    Classical Mat Pilates
    Dramatically transform the way your body feels and performs when you flow through a series of exercises rooted in the original work of Joseph Pilates.  Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises he created for his own body as a young man, and actually was originated before the creation of any Pilates apparatus such as the Reformer and Cadillac.  You will increase strength and improve your flexibility, focusing on your core, while also training your arms and legs. 

    Pilates Fusion
    In Pilates Fusion you will follow the backbone of a classical Mat Pilates class, while weaving in athletic conditioning throughout the class.  Expect to see aspects of barre, yoga, and traditional strength training.  This class is set to music to help keep you motivated!
