susan doherty

  • I took my first yoga class in my mid 40’s. It was not love at first sight. It was hot, sweaty and confusing. But something about it kept drawing me back. It became my refuge from the chaos of raising 4 young boys under the age of 7. It took a lot of planning for me to be able to fulfill a dream of becoming a yoga teacher. I completed my 200 hour in 2010 from Open Doors in Weymouth and have loved sharing this practice with others ever since. Over the years, a lot has changed. My boys have become men and my practice has evolved to include a love of the softer side of yoga. I began teaching Yin Yoga in 2015 and it has brought so much balance into my practice. The opportunity to find stillness in a very busy world is a gift I continue to share with my students. I believe that balance and trying new things are keys to living a happy healthy life. In my spare time, I love to travel, ski with my family & walk my golden retriever Birdie.

  • I just did Susan’s Yin Class for low back pain relief and it was amazing! This is just what I needed to help with my recent lower back twinges that I’ve been feeling when i get out of bed in the morning! Thank you and keep the good stuff coming. Maria D

Your class is always amazing. I want to comment on your cueing.. it is excellent. I always know where i am going and when there, you remind me where all of my body parts should be! Thank you so much for everything. Alissa D

Susan Fitzpatrick

libra

  • as a breathwork teacher, mother, and wellness advocate, susan believes in a gentle approach to transformation and integration, recognizing the importance and potency of feeling safe while honoring one’s personal path.

on a journey towards her own emotional and mental wellbeing, she organically encountered mindfulness, healing, and self-discovery. this inner process sparked a deep calling to support others towards breaking generational cycles and navigating their unique evolution of self.

susan, a longtime movement instructor, took a break before returning to teach her first fitness class on March 15, 2020. the pandemic provided a pause to focus less on moving to get out of her body and more on how to be in her own skin. after deeply diving into the works of many systems, including but not limited to: parts work, intergenerational trauma, masculine and feminine archetypes, maiden/mother/crone, and mostly spirituality, susan emerged ready to assist people to embrace life with her compassionate, intuitive approach.

having practiced meditation and breathwork to navigate her own inner landscape, it was a natural fit to immerse herself in the trainings of these ancient arts. ironically the physical movement she relied upon for so long was an escape out of her feelings, where meditation and breathwork offered a portal back in.

trained by evie marie o’connor, rachael dunville and erin telford, susan offers a sanctuary to meet yourself exactly where you are. while different for each person, susan excels at understanding where a person is along their journey and eliminating all intimidation by offering an accessible, warm entry to this life changing experience.

  • Susan Fitzpatrick's breath work class was truly transformative. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel at ease and comfortable, creating a welcoming and safe space for deep inner work. Her guidance through the breath work exercises was gentle yet powerful, allowing me to release tension and reset my nervous system.

Susan prioritized my comfort throughout the class, checking in regularly to make sure I was feeling supported and guided. Her expertise and intuitive approach allowed me to go deeper into my breath work practice than I ever have before, resulting in a profound and lasting sense of peace and relaxation.

I cannot recommend Susan's breath work class highly enough. If you are looking for a powerful and transformative experience, look no further than Susan Fitzpatrick's class. You will leave feeling rejuvenated, centered, and inspired.

    Jennifer L

I would recommend Susan Fitzpatrick’s breath work session to anyone! She guides you through a beautiful journey into self where you feel comfortable to lean into deep healing. I felt supported, held and safe with Susan as my facilitator. I have tried out several breathworkers but Susan is the one I feel the best with by far. You can tell she is a wealth of warm loving knowledge since being in mind body wellness for so long!
